Google's Adsense Affiliate Program

It allowed me (a content provider) to put Google's Adwords ads on my web sites. You can see an example of these ads down the right hand side of this page (if your web browser supports javascript).

And... when my visitors click on the Adsense ads, I get a percentage of the income paid to Google by the advertisers.

Even after just the first two months of implementing Adsense, (Sept 03) I was more than happy with it. While I'm not allowed to mention actual figures, I can say that the click-through rates far exceed the "normal" rates the commissions earned are very pleasing As at March 2006 after 2.5 years in the program, I can report that Adsense is my MAJOR source of income! And the click through rates are still far better than other types of advertising.

Now, there are lots of terms and conditions to being accepted by Google into the Adsense program, but once accepted you can put the ads on as many pages as you want. So GET CLICKING on the button above to sign up now!

Adsense ads are running on ALL my main web sites - on EVERY PAGE POSSIBLE - and I generate a good number of impressions every day of the week.

The ads are targeted to the content of the page, and deliver ads relevant to what my visitors are looking for... So, if I can't help them, at least I get paid when they go elsewhere :)

Google Adsense... While I love it, will it work for you?

That all depends... again on such things as total traffic (more traffic = more impressions) and the sort of thing your visitors are looking for (some keywords pay a lot more than others).

I've implemented Adsense for a client on their site and in that case, the results are not as interesting as what I've been getting. But every one of my sites I put them one... they work for me!

However... it's definitely work having a go and see what happens! You'll certainly know quickly whether it's going to work or not.

They gave me the idea to write content (like these articles) that includes keywords that are worth more (to the advertiser)... so that I can (hopefully) get a better return when someone clicks on an Adsense ad. I'll let you know how that all pans out in a later article...
